First off, I just want to say thank you to all of my existing clients! If it was not for all of you I would not have had the opportunity to do what I do. For those of you who are just dropping in, I am Emily Nuovo and one of the faces behind Follow the Light Photography. Typically you will also see my mom Debbie Light photographing with me as well. We work best as a tag team because we have similar personalities and think almost identical when it comes to photography styles.
A little background information on myself is that I was born in Florida, but have lived in Bethel Park, PA most of my life. While I am all about the warm weather, I absolutely love the seasons that Pennsylvania has to offer. Photographing in the flower fields, pumpkin patches, farms, and snow is not something every state has to offer. I am a Secondary Art Education major. I started out at Slippery Rock University and finished my degree out at California University of Pennsylvania. Visual arts has been a passion of mine since childhood and you could always find me taking photos, painting, sketching, or crafting. All of this is what I think sets me apart from some other photographers because I strive to do what I can to make your photoshoot as individualized as possible. If you have a vision for setting up a specific scene I would love to recreate it no matter whether it requires building or painting a unique piece. Make sure to talk to me far enough ahead of your shoot date so we can make it more personalized to you!
Lastly, I would love to explain the meaning behind the name. As you can probably tell from above my maiden name is Light, so it is fitting for both of us who you will see photographing our clients. On top of that, I have always felt that the best way to photograph is by following the light. This can hold multiple meanings in photography when you think into it deeper. A photographer tends to follow the natural lighting to come up with the best possible photo for you as a client, and that is of course one of our main goals. We aim to provide you with a photoshoot that uses the lighting to create an aesthetically pleasing image. Secondly, our goal is to follow the light and joy that our clients naturally bring to a photoshoot with them. You all are what makes the shoot amazing and we love seeing the joy in a couple, family, baby, individual, or children that brings so much life to the photographs! We know that the saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words" is very true and we cannot wait to recreate those moments and memories in a photo for you!
